from the ErrorLog:
java.net.UnknownHostException: rajeev-desktop: rajeev-desktop

Doesn't seem like the hostname 'rajeev-desktop' can be resolved on
your system. To verify , try
$ nslookup rajeev-desktop

Try to identify where rajeev-desktop is taken from. Probably this
phrase is contained in the config files for active-mq or the
repository server somewhere. How are you addressing the MySQL server?
Via localhost?
For further clarification, you should send (links to) your
corresponding config files.

PS: BTW, there is an up-to date debian package in the download area,
which should run out of the box.
