There are many more list-style-types  (described in way too much detail here: http://www.w3.org/TR/2002/WD-css3-lists-20021107/#list-content )
If anyone wants to contribute in implementing them, feel free.
Note: too many list styles may make the UI less practical
Apparently there is a company [0] which has a product [1] that might [2] contain hints on how to do this
