[daisy] Problems during backup

Issue update:
This morning I stopped daisy, AND the Mysql DB. After starting all
components again, I was able to issue the backup lock.
I will not focus on the problem, but spend my time on the upgrade...

Just pointing out the obvious: this would be on a stopped repository
(whereas the backup tool requires a running backup server)
