[daisy] Site specific xmap?

Hi,

I was wondering if its possible to have a setup where there are 2 sites on 
the same daisy instance with the following constraints:
        - first site is the site for the authors
        - second site is the public site that shows only the live content
for the public site all actions should be shielded so I was thinking along 
the lines of an sitemap.xmap that doesn't contain all the redirections to 
the admin section and all other actions.
But I suppose the xmap is the same for all sites?

Is there a description somewhere how to strip down the front-end to the 
bare bones (only browsing and viewing docs)
