[daisy] The magical exploding numbered list

i can report that i have also seen this happen once, although not so 
bad, not anywhere near 50000 lines.  just suddenly lots of empty lists 
on empty lines, and extra indentation (embedded lists) in existing 
lists.  This was also in a document that already had a lot of embedded 
lists.
We just reverted to an earlier version of the document if i remember 
correctly.
