as you have guessed correctly (other mail) you need to provide some 
document specific styling to display non daisy-html parts on your page

Check this http://cocoondev.org/daisydocs-2_1/373-cd/194-cd/420-cd.html 
as well if the text-parts are missing from the xml response.
