Júlio Reis commented on DSY-637:
--------------------------------

You could actually recode all the dialogs instead of using default Javascript... perhaps through Dojo. If you go to facebook.com you'll see that their dialogs do not rely on JS (actually these seem like hidden divs which pop up.) I agree that that would be too much trouble to go through just for this little issue, but if you ever consider recoding all the dialogs you may keep this in mind. Thanks for having the confirmation box on, it just wasn't enough in this case.

> When one is editing a document and wants to close the window or go back in the browser history, one is shown a dialog window asking "Are you sure you want to navigate to another page?" and given two options: Yes (the default) and Cancel.
> Cancel should be the default action, as pushing the Yes button inadvertently can have bad consequences. I was just creating a page, then as I was typing I moved the focus away from the editing window (probably touched the touchpad) and kept typing. One of the keys I pressed made the dialog show up, and before I realised what I was doing I typed a space, and so I lost 30 minutes of my work. I wouldn't want that to happen to other people.
> Given that part of the text of the dialog is in Portuguese, which is my default browser language, I would think that the dialog feature is not purely a Daisy implement, so it may be beyond your powers to change this, but it might be useful to do so.
