[daisy] Issues with live / last versions and book publishing

Hi,
we write documentation using Daisy and most of our users do not have
right to publish documents.
Our developers (normal users) must be able to write complete books (some
Simple Documents, Images and one Book Definition) in staging/last mode
on their own. Because they want to see the result of their work, it
should also be possible to publish the book.
Here is a list of problems our developers have: (Daisy 2.1, but I think
the same problems already existed in 2.0.1)
----------------
Problem 1: Book Publishing is not possible if Book Definition has no
live version.
Imagine a developer has created his book including the Book Definition
(all documents have no live version).
The Book Definition is not listed when trying to publish. Forcing the
Publication with the appropriate URL gives an error: (Document has no
live version).
Is there a way to allow this publication (maybe with read access for the
current user only?)
Problem 2: For a publication with content version LAST, the LIVE version
of the Book Definition is used
Imagine now the Book Definition was published and then again edited by a
developer.
If he wants to publish a book in content version LAST, Daisy
nevertheless uses the LIVE version of the Book Definition.
Problem 3: Images are not shown in WYSIWYG Editor
When trying to upload a new Image (Image has no live version and Simple
Document has no live version), it is shown in the Daisy Preview but not
in the WYSIWYG Editor. Builds fail.
Problem 4: Books published with content version LAST use the LIVE
version of images
Imagine we have a Simple document referencing an Image document. Both
documents are published.
When a developer updates the Image and wants to generate a PDF with
content version LAST, the new Image does not appear, but the old (live)
version.
Questions:
- Which issues of this list are intended and why?
- Any hints how to solve the problems?
