daisy export format should specify times in UTC
-----------------------------------------------
Key: DSY-547
URL: http://issues.cocoondev.org//browse/DSY-547
Project: Daisy
Type: Improvement
Reporter: Marc Portier
Priority: Trivial
The Daisy export format specifies times in the timezone of the respository.
So for the same document, living on two different machines the export-format would contain slightly different things:
sample:
<field type="MyDate" value="2007-08-09T00:00:00.000+01:00"/>
<field type="MyDate" value="2007-08-10T00:00:00.000+02:00"/>
Note that in both cases the information is 'logically' the same (and thus correct) but still 'notationally' different.
So this isn't really an issue of Daisy of course, if it weren't that we use a standard text-diffing tool to inspect changes in the exports. So for us these notational changes cause some *noise*.
I'ld suggest one could either specify the timezone in the export config (or cli) or, just hardcode things to UTC.
