[daisy] Changing creation dates of Daisy documents

I know it is highly unusual, but I'd like to change the date of some 
Daisy documents.

I'm in the midst of moving a website to Daisy and I have query that 
requests a.o. the creationDate of a document.

I want to change this date to something resembling the original entry 
date of the item in the old version of the website.

So, as far as I know I should change the field 'created' in table 
'documents' in the 'daisyrepository' in MySQL with ID is the documentID.

However, when I did that, nothing happened, i.e. the item still has the 
creation date of the moment it was created in Daisy.

So I have a few questions:
- is this the correct field to change or do I need to change something else?

- if it is the correct field, do I need to restart Daisy (repository + 
wiki) to make the changes visible?

- what (else) could be wrong?

- is there an easier way to do this?
