The empty dirs/file are removed.

I wouldn't change the installation instructions (at least not yet): the simple scripts work in more situations (platforms) and have had more testing. The wrapper scripts are very convenient but will cause more trouble if something goes wrong...


By accident my eyes fell on a part in the file

distro/core/resources/wrapper/bin/daisy-repository-service

starting with the line

# Decide on the wrapper binary to use.

whose purpose seems to be to automatically determine the binary to use. Maybe we can rely on that?

PS: I think we'll exclude the AIX and HP-UX binaries, they're too uncommon and it's easy enough for people to download them (for us, it's extra work to maintain, adds to the distribution size, and they seem to be only available now and then in the wrapper release history).
