Andreas Deininger commented on DSY-405:
---------------------------------------

> I saw you have been updating the wrapper configurations in the documentation
> but I don't see the purpose of that: can't we just throw most of it away?

Yes, as of version 2.0 we can. However, defining the environment variables inside the wrapper configuration file make thinks a lot easier, so we should apply my changes to the 1.5 branch of the documentation prior to removing it from the 2.0 branch. Maybe I should have better edited the 1.5 branch directly.

> I'd rather like to see the following topics treated:
> ....

Me, too. Once the windows installer is running again, I'll take a first shot at that.

> The following patch integrates the tanuki wrapper scripts in the Daisy binary build.
> During build time, a self contained wrapper installation is created inside the daisy binaries, these scripts are automatically configured during the repository and daisy wiki initialisation (no manual configuration is needed afterwards).
> This patch also upgrades the tanuki wrapper inside the windows installer to the latest release.
> This patch is the linux part only though it already contains a some files needed for the windows variant. I will finalize the windows part once this patch is committed.
