I understand your point and appreciate your effort, but basically I can't concern myself now with evaluating these changes (patches for post-2.0 welcome of course). AFAICS, the addition of the scripts for tanuki is completely orthogonal to the other changes (doesn't depend on it in any way).

I'd like to see some discussion about the installation scripts first, as I fail to see how the patch makes the code fundamentally easier. Also, the function of daisy-wiki-init should be to initialize the repository for use with the Wiki, nothing more, as this is useful for re-installing the default types. A more integrated script for first-time installation should become something new (either under a new name or by renaming the current daisy-wiki-init to something like daisy-wiki-repo-init).

Unrelated to the above, I was wondering about the intention of this code in DaisyWikiInit:

        InstallHelper.copyFile(wikiWrapperLinux, wikiWrapperTemplateLinux);
