[daisy] book publishing

Hi,

in a forthcoming project i want to:

1 - create and manage documents in a cms. these documents should be 
published (generating PDF) and  sent to customers.

2 -  the published documents, that are sent to customers should be 
tracked  (when where which documents(PDF) sent to which customer). The 
result should be a tabular listing showing the history of published 
documents.

i think most of the requirements could be achieved by daisy. Where i'm 
unsure is the tracking functionality. Of course i could write a daisy 
wiki extension as a small cforms database application plugged into daisy 
. Are there some other possibilities, maybe some of the new daisy 2.0 
features that could help here ?
