[daisy] Problem with quotes in daisy scripts on Windows

the documentation for the java command says:

....

Set a system property value. If value is a string that contains spaces, 
you must enclose the string in double quotes:

             java -Dfoo="some string" SomeClass

...

i'm not sure if this also works on all Unix systems ?
