[daisy] Can I extend Daisy to use the user info in other services?

Hi all,

is there a way to use the info of registered Daisy users in other 
services running on the same machine? E.g. Mailman or JIRA.
Or the other way around?

The goal is to register (and approve) users in one place and reuse the 
info in all available services.
