[daisy] document ordering

Hi,

What is the best way in Daisy to apply a custom order to documents ? We've
got our documents grouped by a custom field called 'topic', and within each
topic we would like to apply a fixed order rather than just alphabetically
or by creation date. I was thinking to create a custom 'order' field but
that would become slightly tedious when reordering larger sets of documents.
Any better mechanisms for this ?
