You can check out the code for word based diffing at http://daisydiff.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/ daisydiff  (revision 50).
The code for the "classic" diffing is not included there. The use is very similar to the classic approach, for an example check out the test package.

In the project root there is a new JAR file called EclipseCompare040707.jar with a minimal working set of Eclipse code of the newest version.
