Maybe a stupid question but ... did you tried it with the request uri
/daisy/ ... so including the last "/"?

Subject: [daisy] Installation issue

Greetings from Westland Michigan...

I am having some problems with Daisy. I ran through the install

procedure twice - just to make sure I didn't screw something up. No

difference, I can't get the java container to serve up the daisy pages.

I received no errors when either configuring daisy, or starting the

services. I am starting the repository server first, followed by the

wiki engine. When I go to the server via a browser, I get the
following:

  Initialization Problem

Message: null

Description: No details available.

Sender: org.apache.cocoon.servlet.CocoonServlet

Source: Cocoon Servlet

cause

Could not find component (key [daisy-repository-manager])

request-uri

/daisy

Apache Cocoon 2.1.11-dev <http://cocoon.apache.org/>

System specifics: Slackware 11, Kernel 2.6.20, Mysql 5.0.33, Daisy

2.0-RC, JRE 1.5.0_09-b01. Dual Pentium-4 with hyperthreading, 2 gig
RDRAM.

Any ideas what I could be doing wrong here?
