Seems like something is wrong with line endings.

Do you edit these files on Windows? From a Windows-based SVN checkout? With a text editor configured for Windows line endings?
(or for all, the inverse?)

It might also be me who did something wrong upon checking in the files, though I went through some effort to fix line endings before that.
