Well those changes are made in daisywiki_schema.xml which are found in 
the install part of the source tree.  The schema is usually imported at 
install time.  Maybe you didn't import it after the changes were made.  
In your build go to daisy/install/target and run daisy-wiki-init-dev.  
Or you could also just do daisy-schema-uploader-dev.  Running the 
commands without args should give you an idea of what options are available.
