I just upgraded the demo site, so if you want to give it a try, go ahead ...

I had a quick look at it just now, and could get it working with
query/link based selection lists for hierarchical fields, however not
for static hierarchical selection lists. Maybe you can elaborate on
that a little bit. It looks good/stable already. If you click on the
"open link" image for values from a query+linkfield based selection
list, you sometimes get errors like "daisy: is not a registered
protocol" or even end up with invalid path names.
