Bruno Dumon commented on DSY-330:
---------------------------------

AFAICS Daisy can't fix anything about these issues, as these are related to MX4J. So I'd suggest you go look over there to see if these are known problems.

The problem with the browser being unable to forget the basic auth info is a browser issue really. You need to quit your browser, not restart the server, in order to be able to log in again.

> Type: Bug

> Reporter: Aaron Digulla
> Priority: Minor

>
> How to repeat: When logging into the JMX console, supply the wrong user and/or password.
> Result: You get a page which reads like this:
> -------------------------------------------------
> MX4J/Http Adaptor
> JMX Management Console
> MX4J - Exception
> Code:
> Message:
> -------------------------------------------------
> The links to the logo and to the css file are broken, the error code and the message are missing.
> In the logfile, you can find:
> (daisy.jmx.mbeanserver): Exception during http request
> mx4j.tools.adaptor.http.HttpException: Authentication failed
> at mx4j.tools.adaptor.http.HttpAdaptor$HttpClient.handleAuthentication(HttpAdaptor.java:926)
> at mx4j.tools.adaptor.http.HttpAdaptor$HttpClient.run(HttpAdaptor.java:967)
> Problems:
> - The CSS file and logo should be visible even if the login fails.
> - There should be an error message saying that the login failed.
> - If your browser cannot forget the HTTP auth info, you're locked into this page. It would be better if it a reload would give another login dialog.
